PhysioScan Metabolic System
Category: DIET & METABOLISM
Description
Overview
The PhysioScan Metabolic System uses open circuit calorimetry and is ideal for the measurement of oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production in lab animals. The PhysioScan can be used in conjunction with the SuperFlex Open Field, AccuPacer Treadmill, and the DietMax Food/Liquid Monitoring System to add a metabolic aspect to locomotor, exercise and diet studies.
Using the Fusion software, the PhysioScan Metabolic System monitors, records and plots O2, CO2, VO2, VCO2, and RER measurements every second. Archived experiments can be reanalyzed and exported to any spreadsheet/ statistical analysis software for further processing.
The PhysioScan Metabolic system comes in two, four, six, and eight channel configurations.

DietMax Food / Liquid Monitoring System
The DietMax Food/Liquid Monitoring System allows researchers to accurately track food and liquid consumption by continuously weighing the reservoirs. It helps analyze meal patterns such as size, frequency, duration, and percentage. The system can be integrated with the SuperFlex Open Field or PhysioScan Metabolic System for more comprehensive behavioral studies.
