AccuRotor EzRod
The AccuRotor EzRod is a rotarod system designed for testing balance and coordination in mice and rats. It works with Fusion software to set up trials at constant speeds or with variable acceleration. The system automatically stops when a fall is detected by infrared sensors. The Fusion software can manage up to 16 EzRods per computer, allowing researchers to quickly start new tests after a subject falls, making it ideal for high-throughput experiments.
Overview
The AccuRotor EzRod single animal rotarod is designed for balance and coordination testing of mice and rats. In conjunction with the Fusion software, the AccuRotor EzRod provides a user friendly platform for setting up simple constant speed trials or complex variable acceleration trials. Fusion will also automatically stop the experiment when a fall is detected by IR sensors within the unit.
The Fusion software can handle up to 16 EzRods per computer (depending on the specifications of the computer). This allows a researcher to immediately start testing another subject after the previous subject falls off of the rod, making the EzRod a valuable asset for high throughput experiments.
